Dear Admissions Committee,

It is my great pleasure to recommend Austin Sia for admission to your university program. I had the privilege of supervising Austin Sia during his one-year internship at Amber Creative, where I serve as Frontend Developer and Team Lead. Austin joined us as a Singapore Polytechnic student with minimal software development experience, but his growth over this period has been remarkable.

Throughout his time with us, Austin worked on multiple client projects, including applications for major organizations like ITE, as his contributions were critical to both project outcomes and our company’s success. Like all developing professionals, Austin encountered challenges and made mistakes along the way. What distinguished him, however, was his response to these setbacks. He consistently demonstrated perseverance and patience, approaching each obstacle as a learning opportunity rather than a roadblock. His ability to learn from errors and apply those lessons quickly became invaluable to our team's delivery capabilities.

What truly sets Austin apart from his peers is his confidence in communication. He consistently asks thoughtful questions, voices his opinions constructively, and isn't afraid to raise concerns when he spots potential issues. More importantly, he actively seeks alternative solutions rather than simply accepting the status quo. These qualities demonstrate natural leadership potential—the ability to speak up, take initiative, and rally others around better approaches to problem-solving.

Austin has proven himself to be someone who learns quickly, adapts well, and contributes meaningfully to team success. I am confident he will excel in his academic pursuits and make a lasting impact in any organization fortunate enough to have him. I am confident Austin will excel in your university and make valuable contributions to your academic community.

Sincerely, Julien Heng Frontend Developer & Team Lead Supervisor, Amber Creative

“With his eagerness to constantly seek new knowledge, as well as his many other positive personal qualities, he would be an asset to any organisation he is involved in.”
