Situation#
KiasuParents is a widely-used online community and resource hub for parents in Singapore, with lots of articles and very active forums. The website brings several systems together: WordPress, Strapi CMS, Mautic and NodeBB, behind a Next.js frontend.
Task#
As part of the Amber Creative team, my job was to add the new pages and features the client asked for, while keeping the website fast and stable for its users.
Action#
I implemented new webpages with Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, and improved the application's performance. I fixed bugs across its key modules and handled continuous content updates based on the client's requirements.
Along the way, I gained experience with managing content workflows, administrative tasks and backend operations.
Result#
New features for thousands of parents in Singapore, on a faster and more stable website.
