Overview
I wanted a way to ask ChatGPT questions directly in Telegram, without having to leave the chat app.
What I Did
I developed a Telegram chatbot integrated with OpenAI's GPT-4o mini model. The bot receives messages from Telegram, sends them to the OpenAI API through HTTP POST requests and returns the generated responses to the user in real time. I configured the bot using Telegram's BotFather for the token, and chose GPT-4o mini for its lightweight performance.
Outcome
A simple chatbot that anyone can message on Telegram.
